Sharday Cage: Ascension

July 7th, 2010

have-work-will-travel

I’m ascending….

Floating above into some heavenly place

Loosed from the burdens that consumed me

From below the evils of life are mere ants to me

My liberality lies within the clouds

The sky still astounds me

Endless still

Some overlapping

Creating images amongst themselves….

What I would give to halt time

To stop this plane and leap unthinkingly

Allured by these massive cotton like bodies

And whichever cloud I landed upon

Would catch me like a ball into a glove

And caress me with its fluffy translucent fingers

I imagine there is a hidden world between the earth and heaven

I would walk cloud to cloud until I found the secret city

And there I would stay all the day long

Melted between the sweet cotton candy clouds

As the wind carried me softly by and by

I am well aware I do not belong here

But my curiosity knows no bounds

The cloud people would embrace me so

And look upon me as one of their own

Occasionally I would drop my eyes

Down to the earth I once roamed

And enjoy its beauty from above

I think to myself I will go back

To that life when I’m ready

So many planes go to and fro

Maybe I will leave the way I came

For now the clouds suit me
